OPPO Reno 2 Full Specifications: With Quad Camera, Snapdragon 730G SoC and 8 GB RAM
OPPO returns to the market after a few months to announce the latest model of the new Reno family. The Chinese company wants to gain a foothold among the big manufacturers in Europe, and for this, it has decided to bet on good performance and features that we had not seen in other mobiles. We could already see it with the first series, now is the time for OPPO Reno 2 that has just been presented accompanied by some important developments.
The Asian giant has presented the OPPO Reno 2, Reno 2Z and Reno 2F as the renewal of a range with which it has managed to put users in the pocket. OPPO's objective is based on spreading worldwide, and the best shortcut to achieve this is innovation. On this occasion we are not talking about high-end mobiles, but about new phones that arrive to increase competition in the midrange sector.
Reno 2 Features
At first glance, the OPPO Reno 2 is shown to the world with a design that continues the line of its predecessor in which the shark fin is still present to house the front chamber. The rear is also similar to what we had seen with the addition of a fourth monochrome camera that did not appear in the original model. The rest of the aesthetic sections are practically the same and make up a design as careful as with the advantage of including an “all-screen” aesthetic.
- 6.5-inch screen with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution (FullHD +) and AMOLED technology
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor
- 8 GB RAM
- 256GB internal storage expandable with microSD card
- Rear camera of 48 Mpx + 13 Mpx + 8 Mpx + 2 Mpx with apertures f / 1.7, f / 2.4, f / 2.4 and f / 2.2.
- 16 MP front camera with f / 2.0 aperture.
- Others: USB Type-C connector, on-screen fingerprint sensor, facial recognition.
- Connectivity: dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, dual GPS
- 4000 mAh battery with fast charging VOOC 3.0.
- Operating system: Android 9 Pie under Color OS 6.1.
At the performance level, the OPPO Reno 2 bases its power on the Snapdragon 730G processor accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Without a doubt, a whole medium-high range that includes extra power with which you can make a difference in the market. The screen is still 6.5 inches and includes both AMOLED technology and the usual FullHD + resolution. At this point, we find an optical fingerprint reader that would have improved compared to the first version. All this, supported by a 4,000 mAh battery with OPPO VOOC 3.0 technology that we have seen in other phones such as Realme 3 Pro.
Rear Camera
If there is a section in the OPPO it has been insistent since its exit to the European market, that is the cameras. The photographic system of the OPPO Reno impressed us the incorporation of the 10x Zoom, now, the OPPO Reno 2 opens a 20x hybrid zoom system that can improve everything, we have seen so far. It should be noted that the 5x optical zoom is still maintained and the rest is based on the digital section.
At the configuration level, the new OPPO phone has a 48 MP main sensor with optical stabilization accompanied by a wide 8 MP angle and a 13 MP telephoto sensor. As a complementary lens appears a monochrome of 2 megapixels that we had not seen in the previous edition. With this configuration, OPPO wants to continue betting on a camera with which it wants to reach the maximum number of users. It should be noted that this photographic system has been applied to all versions of the series, even the cheapest one. This is where you can appreciate the strategy of a company that seeks to attract the most fans of photography.
Availability and Price
The OPPO Reno 2 could reach the rest of the world for a price of 460 euros / 500 dollars at the exchange, a device that would compete with the most prominent mid-high-end market in performance but whose value would be higher. At the moment, this new mobile series will be launched in India and China, so we will wait to confirm prices worldwide.
We do not know when the new OPPO Reno 2 series will release in the international market.
