OPPO Reno 2F and Oppo Reno 2Z Features, Price and Release Date

After several rumors and leaks, and complying with the provisions, the Chinese firm OPPO has officially presented the OPPO Reno 2. Thus, in an event held in India, we have finally met the successor of OPPO Reno, a model in which OPPO has focused its efforts on the photographic section and has maintained the flap mechanism for the front camera.

However, the OPPO Reno 2 has not arrived alone, but it has been accompanied by two other variants, called Reno 2Z and Reno 2F, which retain the four cameras with 48 MP maximum resolution but come with some differences in design, the processor and its photographic features mainly. Let's look carefully at how they are.

Main Features

Both the OPPO Reno 2Z and the OPPO Reno 2F have a 6.53-inch screen with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, integrated fingerprint reader and a 91.1% front utilization. This contributes, in addition to very tight frames, the mechanism chosen by OPPO to hide the front camera: unlike the Reno2, which bets on a kind of fin, these two phones have a pop-up or periscope-type module.

Inside, both models choose to integrate 8 GB of RAM and a MediaTek brain, which in the case of the Reno 2Z is the Helio P90 and in the Reno 2F is the Helio P70. The first one has two storage variants (128 and 256 GB), while its brother F has only 128 GB (yes, expandable up to 256 GB).

In addition, OPPO has integrated with these two new phones a battery of 4,000 mAh with fast charging system VOOC Flash Charge 3.0, Android 9 Pie with the ColorOS 6.1 layer and the same connectivity options, except in regards to Bluetooth: 5.0 for the Reno 2Z and 4.2 for the Reno 2F. Both lack support for NFC and, somewhat surprising at this point, include a Micro USB port.

Camera

Like his older brother, both models have a 16-megapixel front camera with f / 2.0 aperture that, as we said, emerges through a pop-up system. In this sense, its RGB LEDs with 12 colors to choose from stand out, which flash when the camera rotates or the timer is activated.

In the rear camera, the two have LED flash and four sensors: a main 48 megapixel (in the case of Reno 2Z, is the Sony IMX586 ), a wide-angle of 8 megapixels (119 degrees), a monochrome sensor of 2 megapixels and a 2-megapixel ToF sensor.

They also have a special way to photograph night scenes (Ultra Night Mode 2.0), Artificial Intelligence functions for scene recognition and Beauty mode, an HDR Portrait modes and the intelligent video editor SOLOOP. In the case of OPPO Reno2 Z, it also has a 10x digital zoom and electronic stabilizer.

Versions and Prices of OPPO Reno 2Z and Reno 2F

For now, the two models will go on sale in India, but we do not know if they will reach other countries. OPPO Reno 2Z comes in Luminous Black (black) and Sky White (white), and OPPO Reno 2F in Sky White (white) and Lake Green (green).

The OPPO Reno 2Z will land on the Indian market on September 6 with 8 GB of RAM, two storage options (128 and 256 GB) and a price starting at Rs 29,990, equivalent to about 376 euros. The OPPO Reno 2F will arrive in November with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of capacity at a price has not yet been disclosed.
