Vivo iQOO Pro and iQOO Pro 5G Go Official with Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 44W Fast Charging and 12 GB RAM

In a mobile market as competitive as today, rare is the manufacturer that does not have at this point with at least two brands to compete with at different levels. Vivo also follows the same strategy and a few months ago we attended the launch of iQOO, phones that originally focused on gaming and that already cover a wider spectrum.
Two new phones models are now added to the IQOO catalog, one of them with 5G connectivity. The iQOO Pro and iQOO Pro 5G are part of the family and land at full power, carrying the new Snapdragon 855 Plus as a processor, in addition to memories currently reserved for the high ranges of the market. Let's see what both models have to offer us.

The new phones have a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display just like the original Vivo iQOO. A fingerprint reader is also integrated into this screen, but this has been improved, now counting with twice the scan area and improved accuracy.

Main Features

The Vivo iQOO Pro works with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor. This processor is manufactured in 7 nm and has a clock speed of 2.6 GHz. The chipset is accompanied by up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage in UFS 3.0 format.

In the cameras section, it has a triple camera rear module. It consists of a 48 MP Sony IMX582 main sensor along with a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (120 ° angle of view) and a 2 MP depth sensor. The cameras come with features like AI Scene 2.0, 2.5CM macro photography and AI Portrait.

Vivo has included a 4500 mAh capacity battery with support for 44W Super FlashCharge technology. This allows you to charge the phone up to 50% in 17 minutes, up to 80% in 30 minutes and up to 100% in just 50 minutes.

The phone runs Android 9 Pie as an operating system, under the Monster UI customization layer of the sub-brand. There is also the AI-based Jovi virtual assistant, NFC connectivity with Vivo Pay and the new Turbo Network Acceleration technology that allows you to connect to two Wi-Fi networks at the same time (2.4GHz + 5GHz bands). The iQOO Pro also has a 3.5mm audio jack. To get the most out of it, a dedicated audio chip for high-resolution sound has been included.

The 5G version adopts a 6-antenna design that improves the 5G connectivity of the phone. Four of the antennas are on the top of the device, while two are on the bottom.

Price and availability

These two phones arrive in several versions, two for the Pro model and three for the Pro 5G model that incorporates a variant with 256GB of internal storage. The prices of both are set in yuan and we still don't know if they will take an international path or not. However, we offer the price in origin, dollars, and euros with the current change, for interested users.
