Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Comes with Snapdragon 665 SoC and Quad Camera

At this time, an official Redmi event is taking place in China, announcing new devices. And one of them is officially launched - the Redmi Note 8.

The smartphone has become noticeably better than its predecessor when you first evaluate the camera: now there are four instead of two sensors. But, for example, the single-crystal platform has only evolved: if the Snapdragon 660 is used in the Redmi Note 7, the Snapdragon 665 is the Redmi Note 8. The Snapdragon 665 uses the Adreno 610 GPU instead of the Adreno 512 in the Snapdragon 660.

Launched as the most affordable model, the Redmi Note 8 hits the market with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD + resolution, and drop-shaped notch to accommodate the 13 MP front camera.

Also, the device is TUV Rheinland certified, which ensures on-screen filtering for blue light as well as splash resistance with the IP52. According to Redmi, the device features Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the display and glass back.

Camera

Now when it comes to cameras, we have four rear sensors located in the left corner. The main lens is a 48 MP (f / 1.79) ISOCELL GM2, the others being 8 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth.

Unlike its more powerful brother, the Redmi Note 8 was announced with a Snapdragon 665 processor, which works in conjunction with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage. The handset also supports memory expansion with MicroSD card.

Battery

Also, it has a 4000 mAh battery and features fast 18W charging with the USB-C port. For music lovers, there is also the traditional P2 headphone jack, the whole set being powered by Android Pie under the MIUI 10 interface.
