Huawei Mate 30 Key Features, Price and Full Specifications
Although the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro was officially announced on October 2018, Huawei has decided to advance its presentation to September this year. Thus, as planned, the new models of the Mate 30 series have come to light: the Huawei Mate 30 and the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. And, as expected, they arrive with Android 10, but without Google Play and the rest of Google services.
The first of them, the Mate 30, also includes the brand's most advanced processor, the Kirin 990, a rear camera with three sensors and a 4,200 mAh battery with a fast charge of 40 W, among other features. Let's see all in detail.
A great power without Google services and apps
Unlike the Pro model, which has a curved screen on the sides, the Huawei Mate 30 features a flat-screen with a diagonal of 6.62 inches and FullHD + resolution (2,340 x 1,080 pixels). This AMOLED panel also has an elongated notch in which the front camera is housed and an integrated ultrasonic fingerprint reader, as well as an acoustic screen technology with touch volume control.
Inside, we find the last processor announced by the Chinese manufacturer, the Kirin 990, an octa-core 7 nm chipset that is accompanied by a Mali-G76 GPU with 16 cores. Next, to it, we find 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using the NM Cards of the house.
And we come to two of the most important features of this new phone. On the one hand, its battery, which has a capacity of 4,200 mAh and is compatible with the fast charging of 40 W and the fast wireless charging of 27 W, in addition to a new generation of reverse wireless charging three times faster.
And on the other, its operating system, since it comes with EMUI 10 on Android 10, but it lacks Google services and applications (Google Play, Chrome, Gmail, Youtube ...). Instead, it has Huawei Mobile Services and its app store (App Gallery), where there are already more than 11,000 applications. From Huawei, they say there will be a lot of Android apps, but not all.
Triple camera with 40 MP resolution
One of the highlights of the Huawei Mate 30 is its rear camera, consisting of three sensors and located in a circular module with the flash on the left. As expected, that main camera has a 40-megapixel f / 1.8 sensor with wide-angle along with an 8-megapixel f / 2.4 telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel f / 2.2 sensor with super wide-angle.
The front camera, meanwhile, has a 24-megapixel f / 2.0 sensor and an advanced 3D facial recognition system. Both cameras have Artificial Intelligence functions, as usual in the smartphones of the Chinese manufacturer. To this is added the well-known Night mode for night photography and 4K video recording at 60 fps that includes the rear camera, as well as 3x optical zoom and 5x hybrid zoom.
Huawei Mate 30 Versions and prices
The Huawei Mate 30 arrives in four different colors, Space Silver (silver), Cosmic Purple (purple), Black (black) and Emerald Green (green) for the glass finish; Soon, it will also be sold with a vegan leather finish in two shades: Orange (orange) and Forest Green (green).
For now, it will go on sale for 880 dollars in a single configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable internal storage.
