iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max Features, Price and Full Specifications

Apple yesterday officially unveiled 3 new iPhones. The iPhone 11 is the base model and the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are the high-end models.

This was expected to happen. Apple brought us 2 major updates. More cameras and power and most of all. We can dispute that the new iPhones don't give us much of a design difference, but this is an option that Tim Cook's company had and doesn't seem to change that soon.

Apple is not very likely to vary the sizes of its mobile phones from one generation to another, and there are few occasions when its models have grown. It also happens with the new iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, which maintain the diagonals and screen design of the past year, as well as screen technology.

We have again two hands with an OLED panel, one of them of 5.8 inches and another of 6.5 inches, both with a ratio of 19.5: 9 and both with a resolution that moves around FullHD + but with different pixels to match the density. As an addition for this year, Apple has added compatibility with the Apple Pen to both smartphones, a detail that is always appreciated and that is the greatest asset of its great competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.

As for dimensions, the two phones are quite similar to their predecessors, and again we find batteries with unknown official size and that we will know once the "roundtrip and wake up" of both phones begin to arrive. The leaks count, however, that we will move in 3,150 and 3,500 mAh for iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. And there is more because it keeps the fast charging of 15W and the wireless charging of 7.5W. And as a negative note, we will finally not have reverse wireless charging. It will touch wait.

The new iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max also feature surround sound through the speakers, controlled by the phone's specific software for this, and are compatible with Dolby Atmos.

We can close this section talking about the power and connectivity of both phones, which come with Dual SIM models for China and offer 4G, WiFi 6 thanks to the Apple A13 chip and the already known Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Lightning port or NFC for mobile payments. Specifically, for Apple Pay. And accompanying the new processor, 6GB of basic RAM (a fact that Apple does not provide and that we get from the trunk of the leaks) with three memory options for both: 64GB, 256GB and 512GB. Remember, this is Apple and there is no microSD here. Choose well.

iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max cameras are the latest

The most striking aesthetic change of Apple in this generation, beyond the logo itself, is the one suffered by its rear cameras. We no longer have two sensors but three, and they are placed in a triangular arrangement leaving the Dual LED flash out of the matrix. Perhaps to obtain more accurate and controllable depth readings or perhaps due to a design decision. But be that as it may, this year a third chamber is added to the set.

We already had a 12-megapixel main camera with an f / 1.8 lens and a focal length of 26 millimeters, and a 12-megapixel secondary camera with an f / 2.2 lens and a focal length of 52 megapixels. Normal lens, a lens with optical zoom, always supported by the AI contained in the phone itself and supported by the processor, in this case, the Apple A13. But now we have a third sensor in play, a new 12-megapixel sensor, with f / 2.4 lens and a focal length of 13 millimeters.

With all the possibilities that were on the table when making the decision, Apple has opted for the super wide-angle lens, a lens with a large aperture to simulate that we move away from the scene when capturing the photograph. So, now we have a trio already well known in the market: a super wide-angle lens, normal lens and optical zoom lens. Only in the case of Apple, the trio is 12 megapixels per lens.

And as in previous generations, we will have the software support of the camera that will offer us selective blur or bokeh, commonly known as Portrait mode that serves to give a more professional touch to our captures. Next, to it, more specific modes to take advantage of the potential of the cameras of the new iPhone, such as the new Night Mode. We will also have a new technology called Deep Fusion that uses deep learning, the AI of the phone supported by the processor, to combine photographs in the half-light and improve them with pretty good results on paper.

But what about the front? Well, we have two cameras again, one of the "normal" with 12 megapixels for selfies in this generation, and the other the 3D TOF for facial recognition. By the way, we have 4K video at 60 frames per second on the back (the front has slow-motion video too) and we can easily switch between lenses when recording it.

Versions and prices of the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max

As we have said before, each of the mobile phones comes with three versions of memory and one of RAM. That means we can get the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max with 64GB, 256GB or 512GB, and the prices, already in euros, are as follows:

  • iPhone 11 Pro 64GB: 999 dollars
  • 256GB iPhone 11 Pro: 1,199 dollars
  • iPhone 11 Pro 512GB: 1,449 dollars
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB: 1,099 dollars
  • 256GB iPhone 11 Pro Max: 1,399 dollars
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB: 1,549 dollars
