Sony Xperia 8 Features, Price, Release Date and Full Specifications
Gradually the Japanese are beginning to fill in the remaining digits in the renovation of the Xperia. After the Xperia 1, Xperia 5 and Xperia 10 comes the new Sony Xperia 8, officially presented in Japan.
The Sony Xperia 8 is practically the same as the Sony Xperia 10 that was presented during the MWC, although some specifications do not fit exactly so that we are not facing a mere clone.

Reasonable similar to the Xperia 10
If we review the main technical characteristics of this Sony Xperia 8, we will realize that they coincide almost exactly with those of the Sony Xperia 10 that we met at the beginning of the year. It is also a mid-range with Snapdragon 630, 21: 9 6-inch LCD screen, 64 GB of storage and dual rear camera. In fact, on the outside, the smartphone is visually identical. It's like an Xperia 10 with more RAM, less battery and different cameras.
Now, when we go into detail, the differences begin to appear. For starters, the size is not the same, being 158 x 69 x 8.1 mm and 170 grams in this Sony Xperia 8 and slightly smaller but thicker in the Xperia 10.
It has been more than half a year since the Sony Xperia 10 saw the light, and Sony has taken the opportunity to increase the RAM to 4 GB and mount a camera a priori better. It is a double combination of 12 + 8 MP with 2X optical zoom, compared to 13 + 5 MP of the Xperia 10. All this with 4K recording and slow-motion at 120 frames per second. In front, an 8-megapixel trigger with f / 2.0 aperture and included in the top frame.
Indeed, this Sony Xperia 10 follows the same design line of previous smartphones, with an upper frame much more prominent than the lower one and in which the relevant sensors and camera are integrated. The screen itself is 6 "LCD, with Full HD + resolution and aspect ratio of 21.9.
As for the power, it is in charge of the Snapdragon 630 which, as we mentioned before, is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. The battery capacity also varies slightly to the Sony Xperia 10, now being 2,760 mAh, a bit low compared to current standards. The terminal is protected front and rear by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and is certified for protection against water and dust.
Sony Xperia 8 versions, release date and prices
The Sony Xperia 8 is official in Japan, where it is offered in a single version through the operator Y! Mobile It will go on sale later in October for 54,000 yen, about 505 dollars, and will be available in the colors black, white, orange and blue. At the moment it is unknown if it will reach other regions.
