After many rumors and leaks, Vivo has officially presented the Vivo S5. It is the first smartphone of the company with a perforated OLED screen, but also includes a quad rear camera with the 48-megapixel main sensor.

Perforated screen and quad camera

Under a glass body, the Vivo S5 includes a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and a 2.98 mm diameter bore in the upper left corner; with this, the use of the front is 91.38%. This panel also has FullHD + resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), HDR10 support and an integrated fingerprint reader that promises an unlock speed of 0.38 seconds.

As a brain, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712, an eight-core 2.3 GHz processor that is supported by 8 GB of RAM. It brings the operating system based on Android 9 Pie with the corresponding customization layer Funtouch OS 9.2 and includes internal storage options (128 GB), but it does support microSD cards.

The rear camera, housed in a diamond-shaped or diamond-shaped module, features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main sensor, along with an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The front camera of the Vivo S5, located in the screen hole, offers a resolution of 32 megapixels and relies on artificial intelligence.

The Vivo S5 also has a 4,100 mAh battery compatible with the fast charging of 22.5W and the usual connectivity options: dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB type C and a headphone jack 3.5 mm

The Vivo S5 will be available, so far, in China, and it is unknown if it will reach other markets. There it will go on sale in three different colors (Phantom Blue, Icelandic Love Songs, and Star Black) and two different configurations depending on the internal storage:

• Vivo S5 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of capacity: 2,698 yuan ( about 385 dollars to change ).
