Compare Huawei Nova 6 and Huawei Nova 6 5G: What is difference?

If something has become fashionable now that we have finished the year, that is 5G mobiles and with a dual front camera incorporated in a perforation on the screen. That is exactly what you will find in the new Huawei Nova 6 5G, which is accompanied by another version without 5G.


The Huawei Nova 6 and Huawei Nova 6 5G is a pair of high-end mobile phones almost identical, unlike connectivity. Both boast Kirin 990, double front camera, triple rear and a battery of more than 4,000 mAh capacity.

Two cameras in front and three behind

One of the most characteristic points of these Huawei Nova 6 is in its front camera, dual and that embraces the perforations on the screen to the mode of the Samsung Galaxy S10. Of course, there is a small difference here and that is the perforation itself on the left side instead of the right.

The shutter for selfies is therefore dual, with the main camera of 32 megapixels and an aperture of f / 2.0 for the normal model and f / 2.2 for the 5G, accompanied by a wide-angle of 8 megapixels so that no one is left out of the self-portrait.

Behind the Huawei Nova 6 is somewhat less ambitious if we take into account today's trends, with a triple camera with a 40-megapixel main sensor. They are accompanied by an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor to achieve 3x zoom and another 8 megapixels, in this case for the wide-angle.

Kirin 990 and the 5G of the house

How could it be otherwise, both Nova 6 is powered by the latest 7 nm Kirin 990 and that allies with the company's 5G modem, the Balong 5000 to achieve both 5G SA and NSA connectivity, as well as backward compatible with all the previous network standards. Obviously, the Huawei Nova 6 does not include such a modem and therefore maintains connectivity in the 4G.

As for the RAM, we have 8 GB of RAM in both models, although the differences are noted in the internal storage: 128 GB for the Nova 6 and 128/256 GB for the Nova 6 5G. None of the mobiles have the possibility to expand the storage by card or microSD or NM Card.

Another small difference between the two models is the battery capacity: 4100 mAh for the normal version and 4200 mAh for the Nova 6 with 5G. In both cases, 40W fast charging and NFC connectivity are included, as well as the fingerprint reader on one side.

Huawei Nova 6 Versions and prices

The Huawei Nova 6 and Huawei Nova 6 5G have been presented in China and it is not clear whether they will be sold internationally or not. The Huawei Nova 6 is available in four colors: red, blue, black and purple and in a version with 4G and two with 5G. They are the following:

• Huawei Nova 6 8 + 128 GB: 3199 yuan, about 454 dollars to change.
• Huawei Nova 6 5G 8 + 128 GB: 3799 yuan, about 539 dollars to change.
• Huawei Nova 6 5G 8 + 256 GB: 4199 yuan, about 596 dollars to change.
