Motorola G Stylus and Motorola G8 Power Features, Price and Release Date

In recent days, rumors and leaks about the new devices the company was preparing had intensified and everything seemed to point to MWC as the date and place for its launch. But Motorola has not wanted to wait any longer to expand its Moto G family with two new members.

Thus, the manufacturer has officially announced the new Moto G Stylus and Moto G Power, two mid-range devices that are characterized, respectively, by a stylus and a large capacity battery. Both smartphones share a processor, RAM, and display, among other features, but differ in camera and internal storage.

Moto G Stylus: with pen and four cameras

In addition to being compatible with an included stylus, as the name implies, the new Moto G Stylus has a 6.4-inch screen with FullHD + resolution (2300 × 1080 pixels) and a hole in the upper left corner where the camera is housed front (16 MP and with f / 2.2 aperture). Its brain is Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable internal storage with a micro SD card up to 512 GB.

It comes with Android 10 as an operating system, has a fingerprint reader on the back and includes a 4,000 mAh battery compatible with the 10 W fast charge. It has the usual connectivity options (except NFC) and, in the section on Sound, has Dolby stereo speakers and a headphone jack.

As for the rear camera, it is composed of four sensors: a main one of 48 MP f / 1.7, a wide-angle of 16 MP f / 2.2 with 117 ° field of vision and intended for video recording, a sensor of 2 MP f / 2.2 for macro photography and a TOF sensor with laser AF.

Moto G Power: with less camera, but more battery

Although it lacks the stylus, the new Moto G Power shares many features with the Moto G Stylus, among which are the screen, the processor, the RAM, the Android 10 operating system and the 16 MP front camera. However, instead of the 128 GB of the other model, it has 64 GB capacity (expandable by microSD).

Also, it boasts a huge battery of no less than 5,000 mAh that is also compatible with the 10 W fast charge. The connectivity is the same as in the Moto G Stylus (including the headphone jack jack and the absence of NFC), Same as your Dolby dual speakers.

The big difference is found in the rear camera, which in this case is composed of three sensors because it lacks the ToF sensor: a main one of 16 MP f / 1.7, a wide angle of 8 MP f / 2.2 with 118 ° field of view and intended for video recording, and a 2 MP f / 2.2 sensor for macro photography.

Price and Release Date

Both the Moto G Stylus and the Moto G Power officially appear on the company's website, but will be available from spring, for now for the United States and Canada. Its official prices will be $ 249 for the Moto G Power (4GB / 64GB) and $ 299 for the Moto G Stylus (4GB / 128GB). At the moment, it is unknown if they will reach other countries.
