OnePlus 8 Trio Possible Specifications: should compete with the Galaxy S20 trio

Apparently, the OnePlus 8 line can compete (almost) on an equal footing with the new Galaxy S20, at least that's what the supposed leak of specifications from the trio of devices suggests, showing that the Chinese may present an idea almost similar to Samsung and your main trio.


While the entire Galaxy S20 family features high-performance specs and the same chipset on all three models, we won't have that with the competitor's models, with the OnePlus 8 Lite being a simplified version of the other two models thanks to the fall of the powerful Snapdragon 865 to the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset, but maintaining the same specifications and details as the OnePlus 8.


With that, the OnePlus 8 Pro ends up being the highlight of the trio, as well as the Galaxy S20 Ultra, presenting an improved screen, even more, powerful hardware, a greater number of cameras and a battery with faster charging.

OnePlus 8 Lite

The OnePlus 8 Lite will be the cheapest model in the family. With an expected price of $ 499, the smartphone will feature only one RAM option and two storage options, featuring a 16 MP front camera and three rear sensors with a wide-angle, traditional lens and a camera for depth of field data.

Unlike the other two models, the device does not arrive with Snapdragon 865, but with the DImensity 1000 chipset developed by MediaTek and which offers 5G capabilities. The battery will be 4,000 mAh with a fast charge of 30W.

The OnePlus device has a larger screen than the Lite variant, has a greater variety of RAM, with options of up to 12 GB, in addition to having an improved front camera, while maintaining the three rear sensors and the same battery capacities.

And finally, we have the OnePlus 8 Pro, the one that is closest to the Galaxy S20 Plus and S20 Ultra. The device offers a screen of the same size as the previous model, only with Quad HD + resolution and a high refresh rate from 90 Hz to 120 Hz, although it is not clear whether it can be activated even with the maximum resolution.

The chipset remains the Snapdragon 865 with up to 12 GB of RAM, but information on internal storage options was not detailed.

The OnePlus 8 Pro also presents a leap in issues such as rear cameras and battery: instead of three sensors the flagship features four with a 60 MP main camera, and the battery has 4,500 mAh and a powerful 50W fast charging.

Pricing and Release Date

The leak this time did not reveal the launch date of the smartphones, but according to forecasts by leaker Ishan Agarwal, OnePlus may introduce the new devices between March and April this year, anticipating the announcement compared to the previous year that happened in May.


It is said that the OnePlus 8 Lite could cost US $ 499 , while the OnePlus 8 would arrive with prices starting at the US $ 549  and the OnePlus 8 Pro would have a suggested price of US $ 799  in the cheapest variant.
