Huawei P 40 Line Announced with Kirin 990 Chipset and Dual Front Camera

As promised, the new generation of Huawei's leading family of high-performance smartphones has just been announced this Thursday, March 26, at an online event held by the manufacturer due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With three high-performance models, the company follows the global trend in many ways but also gives its own special touch to further increase competitiveness in 2020.

There were three models presented today: in addition to the Huawei P40 with three rear cameras, we had the announcement of the Huawei P40 Pro and the revelation of the Huawei P40 Pro + 5G, the most expensive, premium and the powerful option of the trio with all the best that the manufacturer could offer Until now.

Huawei P 40

The most basic Huawei P40 arrives with specifications still very powerful thanks to the praiseworthy hardware but does not present great differences from other models such as the curved panel on the sides, the presence of a periscope-shaped lens for the set of rear cameras and not even a screen with high update rates, leaving all these highlights for the strongest pair.

With a 6.1-inch panel with a resolution of 2340 by 1080 pixels, Huawei maintains the OLED technology display with faithful color reproduction and 2.5D glass. Despite the small differences, the pill-shaped notch remains consistent in relation to the other models, offering space for two cameras for selfies: a 32 MP sensor and another for the depth of field data.

With a set of rear cameras with a reduced amount of lenses, the P40 offers three main lenses with a 50 MP sensor with UltraVision technology, as well as a 16 MP secondary sensor for the wide-angle lens and an 8 MP sensor for the telephoto lens.

The trio's smallest model also arrives with the lowest battery capacity of all: only 3,800 mAh which is well below the main competitors that already offer capacities greater than 4,000 mAh. But at least Huawei maintains high-efficiency fast charging with 40W of power.
