Redmi Note 9 Pro and Pro Max Launched with Snapdragon 720G, Quad Camera and 5020 mAh Battery

Abandoning the design line used in the Redmi Note 8 family models, the new Redmi Note 9 Pro and Pro Max arrive on the market with glass construction. According to the manufacturer, the Pro Max also features the "Aura Balance" design, which features a 3D curved rear.

Looking at the front, both devices have a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen with FHD + resolution and a hole in the display to accommodate the 16 MP selfie camera on the Note 9 Pro and 32 MP on the Note Pro Max. The devices have a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

Xiaomi also confirmed that the devices reach the consumer with P2 input for headphones and traditional infrared sensors. The glass that protects both is the Gorilla Glass 5, with the fingerprint reader on the side.

When it comes to cameras, the biggest difference between the Redmi Note 9 Pro and 9 Pro Max is the main sensor. The smaller model features a 48 MP camera (Samsung GM2), the Pro Max adopts a 64 MP lens (Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1).

Furthermore, the rear of both has the same square module to accommodate the other sensors that are repeated in both models. Thus, the secondary camera has 8 MP wide-angle (119º). The tertiary is a 5 MP macro lens with a focal length of 2 cm and fourth 2 MP for depth effect.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max can take photographs in RAW, it features 21: 9 wide-angle video recording, 4K video recording and 120fps slow-motion video at 1080p.

The devices reach the consumer with a Snapdragon 720G processor, which works with 4 GB to 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB to 128 GB of internal storage.

The devices also support memory expansion via MicroSD card, and the battery of both has 5,020 mAh. The Note 9 Pro supports 18W, while the Note 9 Pro Max reaches 33W.

Both devices support two SIM cards, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, P2 and run Android 10 under the MIUI 11 interface.
