TCL 10 5G, 10 Pro and 10L are Revealed: Price, Release Date and Features


After spending a lot of time presenting its prototypes, designs, and concepts of foldable and even "stretchable" smartphones, TCL now returns to highlight the devices that really exist and that will be marketed with the announcement of the new TCL 10 line for 2020.



The latest generation of their smartphones was first presented during CES 2020 reaching the international market with features shared in all models such as the presence of four rear cameras and a rear cover in reflective tones that change according to the brightness, but each with different specifications, ranging from cheap to the most expensive model equipped with 5G.


TCL 10 5G

Among the three new highlights, we have the TCL 10 5G, the company's first smartphone with 5G capacity. It arrives with Snapdragon 765G eight-core intermediate chipset and integrated Snapdragon X52 modem, a 6.53-inch screen with 19.5: 9 aspect ratio and circular shape notch in the upper left corner to house the only 16 MP front camera.



The device has two color options, blue and black, both models with a reflective back cover that changes according to the reflection of the incident light. TCL also implements a set of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, being the only option available to those interested.


In terms of cameras, the smartphone features a rear set of four sensors: the main one has a 64 MP resolution and is provided by Samsung, while the rest break the branch with a wide-angle lens and 8 MP resolution, a macro lens with a 5 sensor. MP and a 2 MP sensor for depth of field data.

TCL 10 Pro

The TCL 10 Pro raises the camera a little more, but takes a step back in hardware since it does not offer Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G with 5G, and remains on the 4G network with the eight-core Snapdragon 675 chipset with the same number of memories: 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.



The model offers the same 4,500 mAh battery capacity as the TCL 10 5G, also including Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology, with the smartphone recharging from 0% to 100% in 121 minutes, and reaching half of the charge in 35 minutes.


In the scope of cameras, the 10 Pro stands out for the best set of the trio: the main sensor of 64 MP remains, but gains a 16 MP sensor for the wide-angle lens, in addition to a 5 MP sensor for the macro lens and a 2 MP sensor for depth of field data. The front camera jumps to 24 MP on this model.

TCL 10L

And finally, we have the TCL 10L or (10 Lite in some markets). The cheapest device in the line also offers the set of four rear cameras, only with simpler sensors and reduction in practically all hardware.



The model has a Snapdragon 665 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, making it possible to increase capacity with a microSD card, as well as other smartphones in the line. Its battery also goes down a few steps by offering 4,000 mAh and no support for fast charging.


Still, the manufacturer maintains the same IPS LCD display as the TCL 10 5G with NXTVision panel with improved HDR, circular notch to house the 16 MP front camera.

For the four rear cameras the company is betting on the use of the popular main sensor of 48 MP, a sensor of 16 MP for a wide-angle lens, a sensor of 5 MP for a macro lens and a sensor of 2 MP for a depth of field data.

Prices and Release Date

The trio arrives on different dates with the same promise of low prices for the European market. While the TCL 10 Pro starts to be available in pre-order on April 7 and will be sent in the middle of the month to buyers, it is available in online stores at the same time. The TCL 10 5G is scheduled for the month of July, while the TCL 10L / 10 Lite is already available in some stores. Check the prices below.
