Honor Play 4 and Play 4 Pro Launched: Price, Release Date and Features

After seeing some leaks related to Honor Play 4 and Play 4 Pro, the Chinese manufacturer has finally made both devices official on the domestic market, confirming much of what we've seen here in recent weeks.

Different from each other, the devices stand out for bringing embedded 5G connectivity, updated visuals, and lateral biometrics as main similarities.

Honor Play 4

The simplest of the devices presented today, the Honor Play 4 offers two possible hardware compositions, being offered the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset combined with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, and this space can also be expanded through a microSD of up to 512 GB.

On-screen, the device includes a 6.81 "Full HD + IPS LCD with a 20: 9 aspect ratio with a hole in the screen to include the 16 MP front camera and the rear, includes a set of four cameras housed in a wide rectangular frame.

To support this whole set, the bet was to embark on Honor Play 4 a battery with a total capacity of 4,300 mAh with a fast charge of 22.5W and a liquid cooling system accompanied by a 12-layer heat dissipation structure.

More advanced, the Honor Play 4 Pro differentiates itself by bringing a more compact body, including a 6.57 "Full HD + IPS LCD screen with a pill-shaped hole to house the two selfie cameras (32 MP and 8 MP) and combines as hardware, a HiSilicon Kirin 990 chipset with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, as well as a 4,200 mAh battery with 40W fast charging.

At the rear, this device brought one less sensor, the main one being a 40 MP Sony IMX600 RYYB, and an 8 MP telephoto lens capable of offering up to 3x optical zoom.

A point that drew attention in this new device is that the manufacturer also presented a second variant that effectively differentiates itself by delivering an infrared sensor for measuring temperatures, capable of measuring between -20ºC and 100ºC, something that can be especially convenient at this time of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
