HMD Pulse Pro Launched: A Budget-Friendly Phone
HMD, the company behind Nokia-branded phones, has launched its first line of original smartphones under the HMD brand.The HMD Pulse Pro is the top model of the trio, offering a balance between affordability, design, and repairability according to HMD.
Display and Performance:
The HMD Pulse Pro features a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. The display offers a resolution of 1612 x 720 and a peak brightness of 600 nits, making it suitable for most viewing conditions. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Unisoc T606 SoC, which is a budget-oriented processor. You can choose between 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM, paired with 128GB of storage. The phone runs Android 14 out of the box and HMD promises 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates, ensuring your phone stays protected.
Cameras:
The HMD Pulse Pro boasts a dual rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, you'll find a 50MP selfie camera.
Battery and Other Features:
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery, which should provide all-day power for most users. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of connectivity, the Pulse Pro offers Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC for contactless payments, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio.
