Oppo A60: Budget Phone with Smooth Display Lands in Vietnam

Oppo has unveiled a new addition to its A-series lineup in Vietnam, the Oppo A60. This budget smartphone offers a blend of decent specs and features at an attractive price point.

Display and Performance

The Oppo A60 boasts a sizable 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 950 nits, ensuring a good viewing experience. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 680 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM for multitasking.

Storage and Battery

Users can choose between two storage options: 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, with the option to further expand storage via a microSD card slot. Keeping the lights on is a large 5,000mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging, a significant upgrade from Oppo's previous 33W fast charging solution in many A-series phones.

Cameras and Other Features

In terms of cameras, the Oppo A60 features a dual rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera for selfies is 8MP. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Software and Design

Out of the box, the Oppo A60 runs on Android 14 with Oppo's own ColorOS 14 on top. Design-wise, the phone measures in at 165.71 x 76.02 x 7.68mm and weighs 186 grams. It comes in two color options: Black Purple and Blue.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo A60 is currently available in Vietnam only. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 5,490,000 VND (approximately Rs 18,060 or $215), while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option costs 6,490,000 VND (approximately Rs 21,360 or $255).
