Samsung quietly introduced the Galaxy C55 5G in China, targeting users who prioritize a premium look, powerful performance, and long battery life.
Stunning Display and Performance:
The C55 5G boasts a large 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate for exceptional visuals, 1000 nit peak brightness and a responsive user experience. Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, offering capable performance for everyday tasks and even some light gaming.
Storage and Cameras:
The phone comes in a single configuration with 8GB, 12GB of RAM and a generous 256GB of storage, ensuring ample space for apps, games, and media. The camera system features a versatile triple-lens rear setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for sharper photos and steadier videos. An 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 5MP macro sensor round out the rear camera options. For selfies and video calls, a high-resolution 50MP front-facing camera is included.
Battery, Design, and Software:
A long-lasting 5000mAh battery keeps the C55 5G powered throughout the day, with support for 45W fast charging for quick recharges. Software and Availability:
The C55 5G runs the latest Android 14 with Samsung's One UI 6.1 on top, offering a feature-rich and customizable user experience. This phone is currently only available for purchase in China, with prices starting at 1999 CNY (around $290) for the 8GB+256GB variant. There's no word on a global launch as of yet.
