After months of anticipation, the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro were announced in China. The new devices arrive with powerful cameras and a partnership with French photography studio Harcourt on a new Harcourt portrait mode which simulates professional studio lighting with the help of AI.

Starting with the similarities, both have 6.7-inch OLED screens with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, Full HD+ resolution and local brightness of up to 4,000 nits. The edges are thin with just a pill-shaped hole and hole for the 50MP ultra-wide front camera (f/2.1) and the advanced proximity sensor for Face ID (Pro model only).

In addition, all models have 5,200mAh batteries with 100W fast charging via USB-C (66W via Qi wireless only for the Pro model), which allows you to go from 0 to 100% in just 35 minutes in the fastest mode.

Now let's look at the differences: starting with the chipsets, the Honor 200 Pro has the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the Honor 200 has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, but both have up to 16 GB of RAM. The Honor 200's storage goes up to 512 GB, while the Honor 200 Pro has up to 1 TB.

Another differentiator of the Honor 200 Pro is the custom 50 MP 1/1.3" H9000 main sensor based on the Omnivision OV50H to capture up to 44% more light and reduce noise in low light by up to 105%, the same sensor as the Honor Magic 6 Pro with f/1.9 and 1.2μm pixels.

The Honor 200 has a 1/1.56" Sony IMX906 main sensor with f/1.95, but the other sensors are the same as the 200 Pro:

  • 50MP IMX856 telephoto sensor with 2.5x optical zoom and f/2.4
  • 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with autofocus and macro mode

Both models feature a photographic mode created in partnership with the French studio Harcourt that shows the result of the effect generated with AI in real time before the image is captured.

The system is MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 and Honor has included an Honor C1+ chip to enhance the wireless connectivity of the Honor 200 Pro.
