Meizu has officially launched the Meizu 21 Note in China, offering a feature-packed phone with a focus on AI integration. Here's a breakdown of the key specifications:

Display:

The star of the show might be the display. The 21 Note boasts a large 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED panel with a super smooth 144Hz refresh rate that can adjust dynamically between 1 and 144Hz for optimal performance and battery life. It's a Tianma U8 OLED display, offering high brightness (800 nits typical, 1600 nits peak, and a whopping 5000 nits for HDR content) and excellent contrast. To ensure a flicker-free viewing experience, Meizu has included high-frequency 2160Hz PWM dimming. Other display highlights include 10-bit color for rich visuals and Wet Touch technology for a more responsive touch experience in all conditions.

Performance:

Under the hood, the Meizu 21 Note is powered by the capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, ensuring smooth performance for everyday tasks and even some light gaming. This is paired with a whopping 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM for excellent multitasking capabilities and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage for all your files and apps.

Cameras:

The camera department features a dual-camera system on the back. The main sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX789 sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for capturing sharp and stable photos. It's accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide sensor for capturing wider scenes. The front-facing camera for selfies comes in at 16MP.

Battery and Charging:

The Meizu 21 Note packs a large 5500mAh battery, promising long battery life. This is complemented by 66W fast charging, allowing you to quickly refuel your phone when needed.

Software and Other Features:

The phone runs on Meizu's new Flyme AIOS, which likely incorporates advanced AI features as hinted by the name. The phone is 8.2mm thin and weighs 205g. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3, the latest WiFi 7 standard, NFC for contactless payments, and an IR blaster for controlling appliances.

The phone also boasts a robust cooling system with a 5000mm² VC (Vapor Chamber) to keep thermals under control during demanding tasks. Dual stereo speakers and an X-Axis linear motor for improved haptics further enhance the user experience.

Meizu has also introduced some interesting features like the Aicy Smart Ring and Unbounded Antenna 2.0, but details about their functionalities are yet to be revealed. The phone features a minimal 1.75mm screen chin and a sleek design with a glass back and a metal middle frame.

AI Focus:

A key highlight of the Meizu 21 Note seems to be its focus on AI features. While details remain scarce, Meizu's announcement coincides with their strategic shift towards AI products, so we can expect the phone to come equipped with innovative AI-powered features.

Price and Availability:

The Meizu 21 Note comes in two storage options:
  • 16GB RAM + 256GB storage: ¥2599 (approx. $380)
  • 16GB RAM + 512GB storage: ¥2799 (approx. $410)
